Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to assess or plan HVAC installations and layouts
- Cut and form sheet metal into ductwork
- Review Job Material requirements before the start of each day, confirming that material and equipment are available and ready
- Ensure Equipment and Material are at the Job Site, complete and on time
- Plan and carry out successive steps and resolve problems and deviations for HVAC Jobs in accordance with instructions and accepted practices
- Install or, in some cases, repair HVAC systems and fixtures
- Fit and install various HVAC appliances or equipment per plan
- Inspect and test HVAC systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems creatively
- Notify the Manager quickly of any problems that threaten job schedule, cost or quality
- Report Vehicle problems & maintain vehicle cleanliness and order
- Perform Work safely – safe for yourself and others
- Teach Apprentices the tasks, duties and judgments of an HVAC Installer
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Experience:
- 2+ years HVAC installation experience
- Trade school diploma or completed apprenticeship
