DEFINITION:
As a Human Resources Operations Coordinator, you will oversee the routine functions of our Human Resources department and provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise. This position will partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Under immediate to general supervision, provides expertise in career planning, performance management, coaching, and employee relations. Coordinates the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants. Collaborates with the clinic supervisors to understand skills and competencies required for employees. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. This position is supervised by the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with a minimum of two (2) years in a HR concentration such as HR Generalist, employee relations, training and development, and/or talent acquisition or a High School diploma/GED and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a HR concentration such as a HR Generalist, employee relations, training and development, and/or talent acquisition.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to communicate, engage and foster community relationships regarding effective recruitment of employees.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Must develop working relationships with staff and supervisors.
- Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Have proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS system.
- Must be able to multi-task.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position is responsible and held accountable for the following duties:
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicant.
- Manages the employee onboarding and offboarding processes to enhance new and departing employee experience.
- Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training clinic supervisors to coach and discipline employees.
- Acts as a consultant to clinic supervisors and staff regarding policies and procedures.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, including completion of mandatory reporting.
- Accountable for creating, fostering, managing, and effecting a positive employee relations environment which drive engagement, inclusion, and ensures an environment free of harassment in any form.
- Supports the Chief Human Resources Officer with any special projects or other duties as needed or assigned.
