We are opening a new facility in Spartanburg, SC and have an immediate opening for an experienced HR Manager to join the Challenge team!
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resource Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function within their facility. The HR Manager will take the lead role in recruiting for salaried and skilled trades positions for this location, and will develop a recruiting plan to staff hourly production positions at the facility. At initial start of production we expect total headcount to be around 155 team members. Other responsibilities include:
- Presenting company information in New Employee Orientation, including policies, procedures, and employee benefits.
- Assisting team members with benefits enrollment, life events, and supporting documentation.
- Ensuring consistent application of company policies, including administration of attendance points policy; issuing written discipline documents; investigating alleged misconduct; and coaching plant leadership on disciplinary matters.
- Processing weekly hourly team member payroll using ADP Workforce Now, including resolving timecard discrepancies, confirming timecard approvals, processing weekly payroll file, and investigating payroll discrepancies.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
This individual will have 1-2 direct reports.
Requirements:
- PHR / SHRM-CP/SCP certificate
- 4 or more years functioning as an HR Manager in a similarly sized company (automotive manufacturing preferred).
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
