This Human Resources Intern position is for you, if you would enjoy:
• Learning a broad spectrum of Human resources functions
• Offering administrative support across the organization
• Providing day-to-day support for HRIS, including data entry and maintenance, troubleshooting and various analysis as well as resolving support issues by working directly with both internal clients and external service providers.
• Resolving support issues by working directly with both internal clients and external service providers.
• Working an internship program from June 12 - August 4 at the NASC headquarters office in East Rutherford, NJ as a hybrid work model
Human Resources Intern Key Accountabilities:
• Support overall Human Resources/ People functions
• Ability to support Talent Management, Employee Relations, Compliance, and HR Management and Administrative functions
• Document issues and identify appropriate actions to resolve HR related questions and escalate issues requiring in-depth HR review
• Educate employees seeing information/guidance on various HR related topics including pay, unemployment claims, data changes, processing HR actions, policies, and procedures
• Executes tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures which may include data entry utilizing our HRIS Systems
• Assist in administrative functions for the Human Resources team as required, such as calendar management and other administrative duties as assigned
• I-9 system oversight
• Performs all other duties as may be required by the needs of the business
Human Resources Intern Required Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skills to prioritize, complete a side variety of tasks throughout the day, and manage competing priorities
• Excellent interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all customers, such as being personable and attentive
• Strong administrative and organizational skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• A High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic Understanding of Human Resources functional areas and practices
• Ability to handle high volume and varied workload with shifting priorities and timeframes; ability to handle confidential information appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
Human resources Intern Preferred Qualifications:
• Enrolled in College/University
• Previous telecommunication system experience
• Proficiency in problem analysis, issue resolution, planning, and time management
