Position Summary We are looking for an experienced and talented HR Generalist/Recruiter. Reporting to the HR Director, the individual in this position is responsible for full cycle recruiting, as well as providing HR support in all areas of HR, including but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, talent development, worker’s compensation, leave administration, compensation and benefits, payroll support, HR compliance, training and development, employee recognition, and assisting with general management of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. They will apply the principles and practices of human resource management to contribute to the success of the business and serve as a business partner to leadership. They must have the ability to effectively manage the full-cycle recruitment process and partner/participate in company-wide HR projects.
Essential Functions • Manages full cycle recruiting (for both exempt and non-exempt roles) from intake with hiring manager, understanding skills and competencies required, tracking personnel requisitions, posting, sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, salary negotiations, offer letters, through new hire onboarding. • Compiles reports and makes recommendations on continuous improvement efforts. • Tracks effectiveness of sourcing methods. • Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive in state of-the-art recruiting practices. • Works with HR Director to develop recruiting strategies to support all hiring needs. • Builds a strong professional pipeline with a focus on our industry as well as Diversity & Inclusion, and represents at career fairs, industry and university/college events. • Evaluates and advises on programs or strategies that impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the business. • Responsible for conducting background checks, reference checks, employee eligibility verifications, and scheduling drug screens. EOE Rev.11.22 • Manages the onboarding and offboarding process including but not limited to new hire orientation, and benefits orientation. • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs. • Provides HR support on HR policies and processes. • Handles employment/HR related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, as well as employment verifications, and EDD claims. • Partners with management on employee relations matters; conducts investigations, attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings. • Administers and manages leaves of absence. • Assists with worker’s compensation and COVID matters. • Sets up and maintains paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other materials. • Keeps up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices. • Performs other HR administrative duties as necessary. • Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications • 4+ years’ progressive experience as HR Generalist/Representative/Business Partner (or higher). • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience. • Experience with Full-Cycle Recruiting. • Experience using LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, Indeed and other job boards, including social media. • Bilingual in Spanish, a plus. • Experience in a manufacturing environment, a plus. • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail; ability to effectively organize, summarize, and analyze data. • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and time management skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent multi-tasking ability across various tasks. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. • Engaging and proactive team player, with a customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills. • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn HR systems for payroll and talent management. HRIS, ADP and ATS, experience a plus. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. • HR certification, a plus
