Job Purpose:

Our next Human Resources Coordinator - Payroll & Technical Support will be responsible for coordinating and processing Wellpoint Care Network’s payroll bi-weekly, serving as system administrator for the ADP Workforce Now platform, and providing people operations support in all areas of Human Resources to include data management, reporting, and technical or special projects.

Duties:

  • Processes bi-weekly payroll in the payroll system on time and without error.
  • Reviews all timesheets, PTO requests in current pay period and other payroll documentation for accuracy and reasonableness.
  • Ensures that permissions and staff records are up to date in payroll system every pay period.
  • Oversees the daily administration and ongoing maintenance of the HRIS/HCM system (ADP) ensuring the functionality and integrity of the system.
  • Ensures staff complete their onboarding tasks in ADP within the designated timeframe.
  • Serves as the Human Resources point-person for ADP system matters, including end user access, file feed management, reporting, system updates, and vendor service team relations.
  • Partners with Human Resources, Finance, and IT to ensure effective ADP data management.
  • Provides HR assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Responds to audit requests for personnel documents.
  • Responds to notification from state agencies regarding unemployment claims.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or computer science required; Payroll or Human Resources certification a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience processing or auditing payroll with the use of software such as ADP, UKG, Paycom, etc. required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience administering system or database management and reporting required; ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
  • Experience working in Human Resources in an educational or non-profit environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of payroll practices and Federal, State and local payroll laws. Basic knowledge of labor laws.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and meet agency auto insurance requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, detail oriented, highly effective verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to effective understanding and practice of cultural humility and ability work and communicate respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient in the usage of computer software; demonstrate an understanding of computer file systems and databases, e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Teams, ADP, etc.

Position Details & Extras:

  • Full time.
  • Hybrid on-site/remote work is available with reliable broadband connection.
  • Moderate exposure to noise.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the cultural differences among diverse groups and the need to adapt service provision to match these differences in respectful ways.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) - Wellpoint employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
  • Interaction with personnel, clients, family members, visitors, volunteers, interns, and vendors under all conditions and circumstances.
  • Fast paced, flexible work schedule includes evenings and some weekends to accommodate program need.
  • Physical exam, drug screen, motor vehicle report, and background checks are required for this position.
