Human Resources Business Partner - Carol Stream, IL

YOUR ROLE
Performs a variety of HR activities. Partners with, and builds strong relationships with, leaders and key decision makers in relevant functions/divisions to optimize business success through HR initiatives.

• Takes a holistic approach to analyze HR issues, resolve problems and propose solutions. May investigate, mediate, and resolve employee relations issues.
• Will provide coaching and counsel to business leaders, managers and employees.
• Brings past experiences and external perspectives to business discussions and people management decision-making.

• Applies general understanding of all classical areas of human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, HRIS, employee relations, DE&I, data analysis, etc.
• Anticipates and plans for human resource needs and trends.
• Develops, implements and ensures the ongoing effectiveness of all internal processes and systems; develops and executes an efficient infrastructure that can deliver HR services consistently, responsively and cost effectively.
• Ensures efficiency and accuracy of HR processes and transactions.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Focus on policy and strategy implementation of operational plans.
• Problems faced may be moderately complex.
• Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, process, leadership, and procedures.
• Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.

• Provides input in defining operation plans. Provides input into decisions that impact functional area.
• Coaches supervisors, managers and employees
• Works toward objectives established by upper levels of management.
• Will recommend and implement departmental specific procedures.
• Latitude to make decisions within guidelines and best practices to achieve goals.

• Will be involved in day-to-day activities to manage the administrative function of Human Resources
• Uses interpersonal skills to influence the overall organization

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• A four-year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field).

• Minimum of a 5 years functional experience including a minimum of 3 years in a generalist/sr. generalist or employee relations role
• Experienced in legal aspects of Human Resources
