Job description

Key Responsibilities:

This position is a generalist role, with a strong focus in Compensation and HRIS data integrity and reporting.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Stays abreast of HR trends, including legislative changes
  • Functions as a business partner to various departments on topics such as recruiting, interviewing, performance management, organizational development and design, compensation and benefits.
  • Provides consultation and guidance on performance improvement plans and counseling sessions.
  • Provide expert advice on practical day-to-day team-based solutions and feedback on teams and individual department performance.
  • Responsible for talent management and recruiting initiatives, from strategic decisions to tactical execution.
  • Plans, leads and executes continuous improvement project events and activities.
  • Conducts salary surveys to benchmark competitive position. Makes recommendations for employee salary ranges and changes based on research.
  • Researches additions and enhancements to compensation and metric practices to ensure competitive position relative to area employers. Recommends plan changes to HR leadership.
  • Functions as the Workday/HRIS subject matter expert.
  • Leads the merit, bonus, performance evaluation and goal setting practices and communication for all employees.
  • Performs routine data reporting and metrics analysis, tracking and dissemination.
  • Helps evaluate new and existing roles, conducting cost/benefit analysis, title recommendations and salary evaluation.
  • Assists HR team, Managers and employees as needed with HRIS/Workday or self-service transactions.
  • Monitors HRIS security, requests for new users and audits for accuracy.


Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with two years minimum related experience and/or training, preferable leading compensation grading or functioning as an HRIS subject matter expert; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in designing and administering benefit programs to balance benefits, company contribution and plan complexity is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations.
  • Accounting and/or Payroll knowledge helpful.
  • Knowledge of HRIS database, Workday experience preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional helpful.
