Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant will assist the Human Resources Director in supporting the HR department. This is a great opportunity for a recent human resources major graduate or undergraduate.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Provides clerical support to the HR department.
Assists with new employee on-boarding.
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events and holiday parties.
Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent and Undergraduate Certificate in the HR field.
Basic knowledge of human resources concepts and principles.
1+ years of relevant/administrative experience.
Ability to be 100% on-site in the Bethesda Headquarters Office.
Must be able to provide World Class Service to all employees and guests.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy is required.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software is required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
