Pay: $22 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the HR Analyst and HR Director, the HR Assistant is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the front desk team and Human Resources Department.
DUTIES:
- Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Assists employees with general HR Questions
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Department such as filing, copying/printing, assembly & distribution of materials
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies) including filing personnel documentation.
- Maintaining computer system by updating and entering data
- Maintain training tracking for employees.
- Conduct pre-employment clearances, volunteer clearances and student clearances in accordance to contract requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required. Excellent customer service via telephone and direct contact with clients. Ability to maintain large volume of calls. Strong communication and written skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Flexibility. Type 40 wpm. Multi-tasking and knowledge of office machines. Computer skills (Word and Excel preferred). Knowledge of QuickBooks. Capability to use sound judgment in decision making and ability to follow directions. Ability to handle various projects and multi task phones and walk in clients. Crisis intervention and ability to de-escalate situations. COVID-19 vaccine required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Mentally and emotionally: Ability to work under deadlines, various projects and dealing with clients in crisis and difficult situations.
- Stand: Remaining on one's feet in an upright position.
- Walking: Moving about on foot.
- Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) 25-50 lbs
- Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder

- Pulling: Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves toward the force (includes jerking)
- Climbing: Ascending or descending stairs, using feet and legs or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized
- Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching.
- Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
- Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand.
- Finger Movement: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Talking is important for those activities in which workers must impart oral information to clients or to the public, and in those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
