Position Title: Human Resource and Operation Support Specialist

Work Hours: Can be Flexible - All Hours are Worked On Site - Monday thru Friday
Job Scope: As the front-office contact at BCRI, the person in this position will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, facilitating smooth and efficient business operations. The primary goal is to provide professional service to our employees while ensuring compliance to BCRI's personnel policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to the planning and administration of important functions such as onboarding new employees, record keeping, payroll, benefits administration and the maintenance of personnel files, along with other administrative duties. Additional administrative duties include interacting with callers and vendors, providing positive customer service to all who call or visit BCRI. In order to achieve this goal, the following duties are expected:
- Answer general calls to BCRI and greet visitors when they arrive in the building.
- Facilitate the onboarding process of all new hires to create an exceptional first-day experience including:
- Input employees into all systems including payroll, benefits, training, medical records, and license/certification renewal.
- Facilitate employee enrollment and engagement in these systems.
- Assist in the biweekly payroll processing.
- Monitor the processing of 6-month and annual evaluations including employee credentialing, driving background updates and receipt of in-house training transcripts.
- Track employee required testing, licensure and certification renewals.
- Support the legal compliance of state and federal regulations including applicable employment laws.
- Maintain employee records and provide assistance in the preparation of program and financial audits.
- Identify and recommend strategies to improve administrative efficiency and reduce program cost.
- Participating in BCRI committees and training activities.
- Other responsibilities, as required.
Required Experience: Minimum of two years' Human Resources experience required. Proficiency in HIPAA, ethics, and diversity protocols, with a problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of human resource policies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands/Work Conditions/Hazards: Moderate walking, standing, climbing stairs, and sitting required. Light lifting may be needed. Office work is in a well-lighted and ventilated environment. Potential exposure to highly charged, stressful and emotional situations with the potentialexposure to aggressive encounters.

Pay Range: hourly rate of $18 to $20 an hour
