Job Title:HR/IT Generalist

Job Description:

The HR/IT Generalist will play a key role in supporting both the human resources (HR) and information technology (IT) functions within the organization. This multifaceted role involves providing HR and IT administrative support, managing employee relations, coordinating IT infrastructure and systems, and assisting with various HR and IT projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources (HR):

  1. Assist with HR administrative tasks, including employee onboarding, offboarding, file maintenance, and HRIS data entry.
  2. Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and coordinating candidate communication.
  3. Assist in benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, terminations, and inquiries related to employee benefits programs.
  4. Coordinate employee training and development initiatives, including scheduling training sessions, tracking attendance, and managing training records.
  5. Provide support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee relations matters.
  6. Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational standards.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and data privacy in handling employee information, personnel files, and sensitive HR documents.

Information Technology (IT):

  1. Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees regarding hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues.
  2. Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, peripherals, and mobile devices for employees.
  3. Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security settings for IT systems, applications, and databases.
  4. Support IT infrastructure and networking initiatives, including server maintenance, software updates, and network monitoring.
  5. Assist in the procurement and inventory management of IT equipment, software licenses, and technology supplies.
  6. Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and consultants to resolve IT-related issues and implement technology solutions.
  7. Participate in IT projects and initiatives, such as system upgrades, migrations, and implementations, as assigned by IT leadership.
  8. Keep abreast of emerging technologies, IT trends, and best practices to support continuous improvement and innovation in IT service delivery.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources, information technology, business administration, or related field; relevant certifications or training in HR and IT are desirable.
  2. Proven experience in HR and/or IT roles, with demonstrated proficiency in HR administration, employee relations, and/or IT support.
  3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, managers, and external contacts.
  5. Technical proficiency in IT hardware, software applications, operating systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
  6. Familiarity with HRIS, ERP, CRM, and other relevant software applications used in HR and IT environments.
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive HR and IT information and communications.
  8. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
  9. Commitment to customer service excellence, with a focus on meeting the needs and expectations of internal stakeholders and end users.
  10. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing HR and IT requirements, regulations, and technologies.
