Requirement: HR Manager

Job Description:

The candidate will work closely with senior leadership as a trusted advisor, providing dynamic HR insights, administering end-to-end HR tasks, ensuring staff engagement, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve current processes and tools.

The Candidate must be able to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

Maturity, sound judgment, ability to listen, compassion, self-motivation, and leadership are essential to success in this role. A successful candidate must be able to roll up their sleeves, explore complex and unfamiliar tasks, dig in, and get the job done.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in the HR field with strong experience in the reporting/compliance arena. This position will have a hand in varied HR functions that involve employee engagement, performance management, reporting/compliance, development, and training, and compensation and benefits. Reporting to the Director of Finance/Operation, you will partner with our back-office team to lead and shape the culture and structure of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren't limited to):

  • Serving as a trusted advisor and counsel for all HR programs and activities, including compensation, performance management, policies/procedures, organizational communications, reporting (including trends and analysis), and any special projects as assigned.
  • Being involved in and responsible for all aspects of employee relations, including but not limited to engagement, internal reviews, investigations, performance improvement, onboarding, and off-boarding/terminations.
  • Assisting in recruiting to ensure compliance with all aspects of affirmative action for hiring and reporting, including Annual EEO-1 reporting.
  • Fostering communication across teams and continually making improvements to HR programs such as onboarding, training, employee guidelines, diversity-equity-inclusion programs, record-keeping, and documentation.
  • Working with the company's stakeholders to establish program compliance, policies, and procedures.
  • Identifying and remediating process gaps, potential non-compliant practices, and quality issues.
  • Ensuring corporate compliance with organizational policies and relevant laws, including managing OFCCP compliance and gathering information necessary for the compilation of required annual AAP and OFCCP certification.
  • Interacting with vendors and aligning HR products to corporate solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizen
  • At least eight (8) years of professional experience with demonstrated effectiveness and success in HR activities.
  • A four (4) year degree from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred understanding of HR liability and legal requirements for both Employees and Managers.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Able to operate autonomously in a lean, fast-paced organization with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Desired experience interfacing with a multitude of customers, stakeholders, vendors, and strangers as you navigate undefined projects.
  • Extensive familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools.

Job: Full-time

Location: Washington, D.C (local area); This is a full-time, work-from-home position.

Salary Range: $140k-$155k/yr
