Job Description
INTERNSHIP SUMMARY: Candidate will be involved in special projects within the human resources department. These projects may include researching and drafting policies and procedures, employee engagement activities, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, and other projects as assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop transferable skills and experience in the planning, development, and implementation of human resource projects.
2. Learn the various functions of a human resources department and how they interact with the entire organization.
3. Attend meetings and other activities related to projects and initiatives as required.
4. Conduct research and compile information in support of projects.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Currently enrolled in a college or university degree program in business studies, preferably human resource management or hospitality management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook and the use of the Internet for the purposes of work-related research.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to take direction and work within clearly defined procedures with minimum supervision.
• Ability to exercise strict confidentiality.
