ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION: Provide full-function HR support by maintaining labor and employee relations, providing benefits administration, and otherwise contributing to the function and success of the HR Department. Access, read, interpret, and communicate important HR information and updates from all available resources to ensure compliance with relevant best-practices, laws and regulations. Identify HR-related opportunities for improvements - both policy and procedure - and recommend and implement potential solutions.
Interact with plant personnel at all levels to identify, assist with and resolve problems. Coordinate quarterly and annual performance review process. Interact with corporate HR and benefit vendors on employee programs benefits and related questions (i.e.
payroll, health and wellness, insurance, COBRA, and 401(k)). Create employment information reports on various personnel-related items (i.e. headcount, EEOC, turnover, overtime, vacation, attendance records).
Coordinate and assist with labor and employee relations and management programs (i.e. work with supervisors on hiring, firing, performance and disciplinary issues, background checks, random drug testing, new employee orientation). Manage the recruiting process from posting to onboarding.
Reviewing and sourcing resumes, screening candidates, recommending candidates for further consideration Coordinate all employee functions and special events including ordering meals and making any necessary travel arrangements. Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including safety standards. Additional duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of HR experience. HR-related training and certifications and familiarity with the Society of Human Resources Management.
Expertise in HR-related concepts with hands-on experience in development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs. PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: A college degree is preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Understand and practice appropriate level of decision-making skills.
