Form of workHOUSTON, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - West Houston family near the Galleria is seeking a FULL-TIME ROTATIONAL NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to work 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off with their 4-year-old son. The family is guaranteeing 60 hours/week, although the true average is 60 - 90 hours per week.
Candidates need to be truly flexible with the hours as the family schedule can change often. A general expectation of hours is roughly 8 am - 8 pm, 7 days/week while on rotation. The son is in Montessori school from 8:15 am - 12 pm, Monday - Friday. Candidates must be flexible with hours and ability to travel. The parents travel often and may take the nanny or the nanny may stay home with the son. Willingness to stay overnight is a must.
Duties include caring for the son, creating and fostering Montessori-style lessons and play, grocery shopping, meal prepping for the son's home and school meals, taking him on walks and to the park, ensuring guest rooms are stocked, items are ordered and organized for the son for trips, keeping clothes rotated, and cleaning the child’s laundry as needed(mostly handled by the housekeeper).
The family has a Montessori playroom set up in the home and is true to fostering their son’s Montessori skills. There is a small Shih Tzu in the home. The dog may need some light care; letting the dog outside, and feeding and watering. There is a housekeeper in the home Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm.
The perfect candidate is Montessori trained, has a background in early childhood education, is creative, a great communicator, a team player to partner with the other ROTATIONAL NANNY, and flexible with their time during the 2 weeks on. The family are members of multiple country clubs that have their own set of rule and guidelines including a strict dress code and rules of conduct.
Candidates must have a passport or willingness to get one. Benefits include insurance + work-related expenses + nanny vehicle(SUV - Range Rover) to use while working + sick days. Start date is ASAP. Pay is $25/hr gross + OT.
CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)
Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position
