General Responsibilities: Live on camp property for 8 weeks in shared housing; assist the Horseback Director in all facets of horse and stable care and management as assigned
Specific Responsibilities:
Ø Horse care, feeding, grooming, tacking, and transfer to and from the riding ring for lessons
Ø Barn cleaning and maintenance
Ø Assist in instructional activities, with the option of leading classes and trail rides as needed
Ø Be the contact person for oversight of barn area during the times Horseback Director is off-duty
Ø Actively participate in all program areas as assigned
Ø Other duties as assigned
Other:
Ø Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior
Ø Follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures
Ø Set a good example to campers and others in regard to general camp procedures and practices including sanitation, schedule, and sportsmanship
