Job Summary
The Scheduler is the first to receive all calls from clinicians and patients unless otherwise requested. They are to provide scheduling for home care visits for Home Health (under supervision of the RN Case Managers or RN Care Coordinators). This position also receives Physician orders on behalf of the field staff, provides documentation support, communications enhancements and other support activities in maintaining the coordination of patient care. They obtain lab results via fax or electronically and send to MD’s and IV infusion pharmacies per orders. They assign and maintain service area and clinician caseload. Maintain 6wk schedule for staffing changes on 6wk hard copy schedule, in Meditech and in Kronos.
Job Requirements
a. Minimum Education Requirement :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
b. Minimum Experience Requirement :
Minimum of one year experience with a multi-line telephone system. Excellent customer service skills required for responding appropriately to patients, families, physicians and agency staff. Ability to transcribe and relay accurate messages on a timely basis. Knowledge of grammar usage, punctuation and style. Computer skills required. Home health experience preferred. Medical terminology preferred. Good organizational skills for fast pace position.

Pay Range:
$19.61 - $28.04
