Position Summary

The High School Program Intern is responsible for supporting all of the new high school programming at USA Triathlon. This person will assume a logistical coordination role that supports an aggressive high club program build in the sport program department. The role will engage with both the Chief Sport Development Officer and the Sports Operation Manager, the person with whom the intern will report directly to in the organization. This internship does not require Colorado Springs residency but does remain an option for the person selected. This is an unpaid twelve-month assignment.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the execution of the high school strategy to include:
• Data base creation and management
• Conduct research as needed
• Create data reports through surveys and other platforms
• Building of presentation decks
• Craft strong solicitation emails to various constituencies
• Work in concert with NCAA interns, club intern as needed
• Producing turn-key and real time marketing and promotional materials
• Social media campaign management
• Creative programming around all aspects of the high school build
• Coalescing different segments of high school collegiate club and NCAA triathlon as projects require
• Engagement with top high school clubs in the current scholastic pipeline and other sports with strong club affiliations
• Aid in the recruitment of key volunteers for the high school working group (talent scouts)
• Identify all high schools that are located in key markets, per the existing priorities
• Liaise with other staff on related programs (i.e., youth lead, club support lead)
• Recruit leads for program start ups
• Assist with sanctioned event race directors programming as needed

Requirements
• Working towards a Bachelor's Degree ideally with sport management coursework or background in high school, club or collegiate sports
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong understanding of scholastic programming a plus
• Creative, innovative, and forward thinking
• Strong computer and communication skills
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Support a get done attitude
• Ability to work a flex schedule
• Independent thinker who can do well in high paced environment
• Proven ability to work independently and manage and complete multiple assignments at the same time, while still maintaining high levels of quality
• This position will require non-traditional work hours and will include other duties as assigned
