Job description

About Us:

Our mission at the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is advancing the health and well-being of all Ohioans.  Our agency is committed to building a modern, vibrant public health system that creates the conditions where all Ohioans flourish.

The Ohio Department of Health supports a hybrid teleworking model. This position may work a hybrid schedule at the discretion of the manager or supervisor, which will require occasional attendance in the office for training, meetings and other operational needs. Employees must reside within a reasonable distance to their assigned headquarters for compliance with workplace reporting requirements.

What You'll Do:

ODH's Bureau of Regulatory Operations (BRO) serves the public health mission and protects Ohioans in many ways - including stewardship of the data that our regulatory activity creates.  Patients, family members, consumers, health care providers, legislators, news media, and others ALL rely on this data (for example, health care facility survey reports) to drive accountability and guide safe, informed decisions.  As a Health Information Technician, YOU are the engine powering that process: providing first-class customer service and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in how you organize, maintain, safeguard, and release data.

Are you that person everyone calls a perfectionist - the one they count on to dot every "i" and cross every "t" after their own focus fizzles out?  Your LEVEL UP moment is here, and it comes with the satisfaction of public service, rich career development resources, a healthy benefit package, pay increases you can set a watch by, and - not for nothing! - attention-span bragging rights for days.

Ready to rise... and shine?
