Acara Solutions is looking for a Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Specialist for our client located in Tarrytown, NY

  • Utilizing in-depth knowledge of disease areas and portfolio strategy in combination with health economics and outcomes research to develop and execute the Global HEOR strategy.
  • Ensures payer-relevant endpoints and evidence-generation strategies are implemented throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Responsible management of collaborations with partners and vendors of clients on Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF) tests and identifying novel approaches to enhance the value proposition.
  • There is a potential for this role to expand into HEOR of neurology and cardiometabolic clinical areas.
  • Ensures timely execution of robust & innovative evidence aligned to strategy.
  • Building collaborative relationships with cross-functional leaders across Research & Development, Commercial, and Market Access organizations to maximize evidence-generation efforts to optimize launch and sustained reimbursement throughout the product lifecycle
  • Helps with communicating strategy to key stakeholders across R&D and Commercial
  • Keep apprised of technical developments in the field and share best practices.
  • Manage projects with minimal supervision and coordinate production of deliverables
  • Ensuring clients Diagnostics maintains external credibility and relationships to validate research findings and communications.
  • Maintaining the relationship with external agencies and monitoring their performance to ensure that performance and deliverables meet business expectations
  • Oversee and manage sourcing and procurement support for global HEOR projects
  • Contributes to the global HEOR infrastructure. Accountable for the following:
  • Developing best practices in HEOR including approaches to areas including research methodologies, study designs, and endpoints that provide scientifically sound protocols, policies, tools, and outcome impact.
  • Identifying areas for process improvements, economies of scale, and other quality and efficiency measures
  • Track record of HEOR publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Pay and Benefits:

  • The Salary for this position is $ 90.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).


Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a master's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as working with medical devices and diagnostics.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • PhD
  • Understanding of simulation methods (Markov models, discrete-event simulation), optimization (linear, non-linear, stochastic), survival/mortality analysis, statistical modeling (logistic, ordinal, regressions)
  • Demonstrated analytical, creative problem-solving, and structured communication skills.
  • Ability to manage own time and proactively identify prioritized tasks for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Focus on attention to detail.
  • Good written and spoken English language skills.
  • Good communications skills and experience developing interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions independently and to work in a fast-paced matrix environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and develop customer/partner strategies.
  • Knowledge of client solutions & product landscape
