Position Overview:

Siemens Software is looking for a passionate andexperienced senior Product Management leader to head the Manage Domain team.This role is responsible for guaranteeing the commercial success of the CapitalManage solutions portfolio. The portfolio contains solutions for the automotiveand transportation, aerospace and defense, medical devices, industrialmachinery, and other industries. A key goal is to increase revenue for existingproducts and to create and launch new products by offering differentiatedsolutions that satisfy customer needs and stand above the competition. She/hewill drive data-driven strategic decisions based on corporate and segment-levelbusiness objectives, market and competitor analyses, and customer feedback. Theselected candidate will be an integral member of the Integrated ElectricalSystems (IES) team, leading the development of E/E data management,programmatic data access, schematic view generation technology for electricalsystems and integrations between model-based electrical tools developed by IESand all leading MCAD and PLM systems.

Reporting to the Head of Product Management, this positioninvolves responsibility for driving the development of a profitable softwareproduct suite for electrical data management and integration, as well asproducts and services that deliver the underlying architecture as a frameworkto other tools in the suite. The successful applicant will develop insight ofthe key trends impacting the business and will use this to create productstrategies and market messaging. They will interact closely with our technicaldevelopment organization helping to define and deliver the product roadmap,will work closely with our marketing organization developing tactics andbuilding collateral, and will be an evangelist for the products, enablingaccount teams serving key customers and incubator accounts while developing ourapproach to the broader market. They will be responsible for boosting themarket attractiveness of the products by developing a surrounding ecosystem ofintegrated Siemens and 3rd party products, and by studying possibleacquisitions, partnerships and services. They will actively seek outopportunities to leverage the domain's technology platform into new areas andarticulate the business case for investing. They will drive the transition ofCapital to Cloud/SaaS business models by formulating and efficientlyimplementing effective and holistic strategy that has been developed in closecollaboration with Product Management, Product Engineering and BusinessLeadership. This transition will leverage your Cloud/SaaS experience to open upnew markets for us, and new value for our customers and further the position ofCapital as a market leader in electrical and electronic systems design.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to thefollowing:

This role will define and drive the investment strategy androadmap for the portfolio's applications and solutions. This requires activeparticipation and leadership in the annual strategic planning process,quarterly business reviews, annual Capital release planning and execution, andother planning activities.

  • Collaborate with senior management and keystakeholders within the strategic product planning processes to defineinvestment strategies and product roadmaps.
  • Be the go-to person for insight into SaaS/Cloudsoftware and provide support for field teams and customers as needed
  • Work closely with sales and customers toachieve revenue goals, support product adoption, and understand customerrequirements.
  • Work with product development to facilitateplanning and execution of the investment strategy and to realize roadmapobjectives.
  • Support, lead and develop a global team oftechnical product managers.
  • Conceptualize pricing and packaging models forproducts and solutions.
  • Develop go-to-market strategy and trainingcollateral for the product and collaborate to develop the collateral necessaryfor product marketing and sales.
  • Evangelize the product and solution vision tocreate excitement among internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Partner with industry and sales teams todemonstrate product capabilities to customers and prospects to grow businessrevenue.
  • Maintain and apply awareness and knowledge ofcompetitive offerings to create differentiated offerings and to increase marketshare.
  • Develop positive working relationships with alllevels of management and other departments within the company.
  • Work collaboratively with corporate functionsand other business segments.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, andExperience

We are seeking an individual who is a business andtechnical thought leader in this field and is a recognized authority in thisarea. Candidates preferably have 10+ years' experience in the electrical designindustry (ideally automotive or aerospace) with a focus on Data Management andinter-tool integration.

Necessary skills and experience for this position:

  • Bachelor's in engineering, Computer Science or othertechnical discipline required.
  • Enthusiasm for software technology, ideallywith experience specifying new software products and/or deploying IT systems.
  • An ability to think in business terms and todrive business initiatives.
  • Strong customer-facing and relationshipbuilding skills coupled with the ability to communicate in clear, business-orientedterms. Fluent spoken & written English is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability totranslate business requirements into technical solutions are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicationskills with the ability to communicate well with different types and size ofaudiences is required.
  • Quick learner, who adapts well to changes in afast-paced environment and has a strong interest in learning and applying newtechnology to solve problems through teamwork and innovative solutions. Must befamiliar with
  • Enterprise Agile and Scrum developmentpractices
  • Must have experience working with bothon-premises and SaaS software solutions

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Advanced degree e.g., MBA
  • Expert knowledge of the use of software tomanage complex electrical data.
  • Extensive working experience on modernCloud/SaaS solutions and ideally also including traditional desktop products(preferably 5-10 years)
  • A track record of publications or presenting atconferences in this domain.
  • Experience dealing with data models andinter-tool integrations.
  • Experience working in discrete manufacturingindustry a plus

Thesalary range for this position is $136,700 to $246,100 and this role iseligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered isbased on the successful candidate's work location as well as additionalfactors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevanteducation/training.  Siemens offers avariety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
