Where the Chemistry Happens

As a Head of Marketing and Sales for Americas you will lead and manage the sales and marketing activities in the Americas region, in line with global Marketing & Sales (M&S) strategy and policy, in order to optimize customer satisfaction and maximize commercial results. This position is remote, however the majority of customers and employees are located on the West Coast. This role will involve considerable travel (50-80%) if you are unable to relocate to the West Coast.

As aHead of Marketing and Sales for Americas, you create chemistry by...

Developing and implementing a M&S strategy in the region in terms of product (assortment), people and processes, to determine a focus for the next 1 to 5 years. Monitoring and adjusting yearly M&S plans to ensure realization of the regional M&S strategy. Collecting and analyzing voice of customers with regards to portfolio needs, market trends, consumer trends etc. along the vegetable value chain in the region, in order to integrate in the annual strategic review cycle. Ensuring elevation of varieties in the region as per regional and crop strategy, in order to meet regional customer demand. Advising and enabling Key Account Management and Channel Management in order to steers development of customer centric strategies in the region. Developing overall marketing and sales expertise in region together with M&S excellence to better meet customer needs Coaching the Regional Managers in the appraisal, training and development and talent management using HR instruments, guidelines, procedures and advise to identify potentials and select and maintain competent employees and ensure an efficient and effective functioning M&S division. Managing people (FTEs), budgets, regional DC / COGS / OIV in alignment with Seed Supply crop groups, development and training of employees, Frequent Meaningful Conversations (FMC), in order contribute to a high performing organization and optimized gross margin development. Implementing and monitoring follow up of QHSE requirements to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees. Attracting and developing talents, builds strong-identity teams, in line with HR guidelines and procedures, to meet current and future business needs.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Bachelors or Master's working and thinking level within agriculture. Seasoned professional in agriculture or related areas and leading international and multicultural teams Language skills: English language fluent, Spanish language an added advantage IT: Proficient in use of MS office

In accordance with applicable law BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $173,800 - $239,030. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
