Group Overview:

The mission of the AI Transformation & Engagements team is to enable at-scale development, testing, deployment, and continuous integration and delivery of AI/ML technologies in order to drive fundamental improvement in the quantity and quality of AI training data sets, accelerate AI delivery (measured in days and months), improve AI performance; enable a firmwide AI ecosystem with integrated platform, controls, compliance, and responsible AI; and provide the foundation and support for our business partners to consistently deliver AI solutions within targets, and in turn, create next generation market share.

The Firmwide AI Management team is a growing team that supports AI Transformation & Engagements and the Applied Commercial Intelligence Council (ACIC), a Firmwide body formed to drive the adoption of Artificial and Machine Learning (AI/ML), reporting to the Operating Committee. The team reports directly to the Head of AI Transformation & Engagements and has a firmwide remit.

Position Summary

The Firmwide AI Management team is seeking a talented candidate to join a small and growing team responsible for leading firmwide Data & AI/ML analytics and drive insights on our Data & AI/ML estate firmwide. The successful candidate for this role is has a strategic mindset and a desire to fundamentally shape Data & AI/ML efforts by defining success metrics, redesigning Data & AI/ML reporting and analytics capabilities, and delivering insights from data. This position represents an excellent opportunity for candidates to:
  • Drive execution of the Firm's highest priorities and top strategic initiatives within Data & AI / ML
  • Develop expertise in Data & Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, with a strong understanding of Data & AI/ML use cases across Financial Services
  • Learn from and influence the agendas of senior management

The ideal candidate for this role will be a talented, analytical-minded leader with a strong technical background. The role will have responsibility for helping shape and deliver the technical foundation for a new set of digital Data & AI/ML analytics solutions that will be used by data scientists and functional partners across the firm. This role requires a combination of strategic, system level thinking, combined with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and work directly with engineering teams to help build and operate the features and services that you have defined.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design the architecture for best-in-class Data & AI/ML analytics products, providing a single source for firmwide Data & AI/ML spend and benefits
  • Lead working groups, problem solving and brainstorming sessions that prepare analysis to support leadership decision making
  • Establish strong relationships with key Data & AI/ML related functions firmwide, establishing a deep network and understanding of the firmwide Data & AI/ML landscape
  • Develop innovative solutions to support the transformation of the organization into an AI and data driven culture while also informing the firmwide Data & AI/ML strategy
  • Structure and lead the design and development of capability build out, aligning with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners' goals
  • Partner with Model Risk team to ensure alignment with model review policies and procedures
  • Increase transparency of reporting the impact of Data & AI/ML use cases firmwide
  • Develop and communicate the rollout plan for firmwide Data & AI/ML analytics solutions
  • Assist the AI Transformation & Engagements leadership team in driving strategy, growth and setting of priorities

Minimum Experience and Education:
  • 10-15+ years of experience in business management, product management, consulting, analytics, or a related field
  • Strategic mindset with deep intellectual curiosity
  • Exceptionally strong client management and executive-level communication skills
  • Self-starter and must be able to perform duties with low supervision
  • Anticipates and resolves issues with a sense of urgency
  • Adapts to a rapidly changing business and technical environment
  • Experience in Financial Services industry is preferred
  • An interest in Data, AI and Machine Learning; familiarity with AI/ML concepts beneficial
