Job Description

The HBSS Integrator will participate in the creation and configuration of custom rule sets for Program of Record systems for Naval programs. The HBSS Integrator will be required to work multiple versions of Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Windows, RHEL and GOTS to support the P8 Aircraft.

PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the security posture of fielded products (HBSS) are in compliance with all applicable DoD and Naval orders, directives, and standards
• Participates in the generation of build processes and provides supporting documentation [Trouble Reports (TR), System Version Document (SVD), and Load Plan/Installation Procedures (IP)]. This process includes the installation of GOTS and COTS, troubleshooting, and extensive information systems security analysis and the controls implemented to secure a system
• Acts responsible for cyber security posture of Program of Record systems by reviewing and responding to latest IAVM and Cyber Directives in the form of manual or automated patches to the fleet
• Must be able to travel occasionally (30% year avg.) in support of systems fielding at U.S. military installations; mostly within US

Requirements

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience
• Required certifications: Security + and MCSE; or MCP, MCITP
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, and Microsoft SQL Server 2014
• Strong knowledge of DISA STIGS, ACAS, NESSUS, and SCAP
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required
• Must be able to work well in a team environment
• Possess hands-on technical experience configuring, securing, and troubleshooting Windows® domains, services (DHCP, DNS, WINS), and applications
• Familiar with the functions of the Windows registry, directory structure, and Group Policy.
• Windows 10/Windows 11 installation and configuration
• Active Directory configuration
• Group Policy installation/maintenance
• Software Distribution
• Workstation management/installation
• Workstation imaging
• Microsoft Exchange installation and configuration
• Understanding of IAVA, STIGs, ACAS and SCAP and applying system security configurations
• Strong troubleshooting skills

DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred (BSCS, BSCE, BSEE, or BS IT)
• Additional consideration for experience with programming skills, VMware Vphere (ESXi), Windows Administration, RHEL Administration, and VMware Workstation experience
• Eight or more years' experience with Host Based Security System (HBSS) installation, maintenance, and tuning
• Hands-on technical experience installing, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting with the HBSS 5.3.1, 5.9.1, or 5.10 baselines. Considerations can be made for candidates with experience with earlier HBSS 4.x baselines
• Strong scripting (Powershell, VBS, HTA, Batch) skills
• Experience with Host Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS) tuning
• Desired certifications: CMSS ePO, CMSS HIPS
