Salary: $90,000 - 100,000/year
The Hardware Engineer will lead multiple projects for the design, testing, and compliance strategy of the hardware components for our medical device. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and establishing specifications, designing circuit schematics, and creating PCB layouts in Altium
- Lead/participate in design reviews
- Component management and part sourcing
- Ensuring components and suppliers are in compliant
- Bringing electrical components and designs into IPC class 3 compliance
- Inspection and functional testing of hardware components
- Design/construction of test fixtures and equipment as well as maintaining manufacturing and testing equipment
- Perform V&V tests on hardware components
- Prepping test articles for external FCC compliance and V&V testing
- Document the engineering progress, testing design, and results for quality management
What You Need for this Position
- 2+ years' experience as a Hardware or Electrical Engineer
- Must be proficient with PCB Layout and Design
- Experience in the Medical Device industry a plus but not required
- Must be proficient with Altium or equivalent ECAD software
- Familiarity with IPC compliance standards
- Validation Testing experience required
- Quality Management Systems and familiarity with FDA and ISO regulations highly desired
