Travel requirements to our R&D location in Springville, Utah are estimated to be 30%.
This is only an estimate. Travel could be more or less depending on company needs.

The person in this role will be responsible for the CPU board design of a Flywheel Energy Storage System (FESS). This person will create schematics and layout for embedded digital circuits along with analog measurements and motor control. Embedded Design will include digital signals such as CAN, I2C, UART, Ethernet, USB, as well as power supplies. Design will also include analog signal amplification, DAC and high voltage circuitry.

- Developing, testing and integrating real-time electrical circuits.
- Choosing components and sensors.
- Creating schematic drawings.
- Translating circuit design to layout.
- Writing and defining interface specifications and requirements.
- Planning, conducting, and documenting tests in written reports.
- Work closely with other disciplines and team members.
- 2-5 years of experience in embedded hardware design
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- Experience with creating schematics and PCB
- Experience in digital and analog circuit design
- Hands on experience testing hardware performance using oscilloscope, logic analyzers or similar equipment
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary team with other engineers
- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of firmware is a plus
- Experience with Orcad and/or Allegro is a plus
