We are hiring part-time instructors for a variety of afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts only
About us:
The Multnomah Athletic Club is a member-focused Portland institution. The club boasts more than 100 classes per week across three fitness studios, a spin studio, our fitness/weight room, our gymnastics studio, and virtual. Our classes range from Restorative Yoga and Mat Pilates to HIIT and our heart-rate focused MAC Fit. We are looking to add to our team of top-notch Group Exercise instructors.
About you:
You are certified, energetic, and experienced in the format(s) you teach. You are passionate about physical fitness and enjoy creating and delivering new, fresh, and innovative routines. You are confident and professional, reporting on-time with a positive attitude and the ability to motivate others.
The MAC has an immediate need for SPIN instructors.
We are also looking for instructors for the following formats:
- Mat and/or Reformer Pilates
- Aerobic formats (Zumba, HIGH, Dance based cardio)
- Barre
- HIIT
- Strength formats
*Personal trainers with experience teaching group exercise are encouraged to apply.
Requirements:
- Current certification in your format(s) and license if required by your format
- At least 1 year of teaching experience
- Current CPR/AED Certification
**Please note, we are only hiring instructors available to teach in the afternoons, evenings, or on weekends!**
COVID-19 considerations: Your health and safety are a top priority at the MAC. In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities, we have implemented specific precautionary measures and processes for employees. Beginning October 1, 2021, all MAC employees must be fully vaccinated or have been approved for a legal exception. Fully vaccinated is defined as two weeks following receiving the second dose of a two-dose or one dose of a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination. Job offers are contingent on providing proof of vaccination or securing a documented and approved medical or religious exception.
