Overview

SimTech, Inc., named as a 2023 Best Place for Working Parents, has an immediate need for a GPU Software Developer, to join our growing, diverse and dynamic team in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

Develop GPU-based real-time software solutions for modeling and simulation for physics applications, including electromagnetics.

Position requires ability to program in CUDA language, as well as C/C++ and Python, utilizing GPU architecture.

Implement complex mathematical computations in real time, based on inputs from other simulation computers.

Outputting data to hardware interfaces for signal generation, in a closed-loop simulation.

Work in a highly dynamic environment that promotes team interaction, collaboration, and the development of creative solutions to challenging problems.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Education Requirements and Desired Skillsets

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related engineering field from an accredited institution required.

2+ years of relevant experience in software development.

Demonstrated proficiency in GPU, CUDA, C/C++, Python, and other related programming languages.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple efforts.

Must be a self-starter, team player willing to work with users, integrators, analysts and others in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance preferred. Ability to maintain the designated security clearance level is required.

Physical Description

Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, and laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a specialized laboratory/testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work.
