Geriatric Caregiver

Long term position, in Bellvue itself not the canyon. LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY.

Looking for a Caregiver with verifiable continuous experience.

Days and hours are: Thursday to Saturday, 8.30 am to 8.30pm

Paid time off after 1st year anniversary

$22/hr max DOE. 1 patient not 20+, 3 days not 5, 36 hrs at one location not multiple using your gas

Direct payroll deposit W2Job.

Clean background check required.

Selected candidate will often be working with another care giver, unless she/he is out sick, this to ease the day and the demands of dementia care, although patient is absolutely 1/1 not 2/1. This is a hands on caregiving position, not a companionship /babysitting position. Social media, phones are to be used on your paid meal breaks.

The patient is a 73 years old male, with Dementia.

The patient is mobile, exercises daily, converses, feeds himself, and in very good physical health.

Duties:

- Provide personal care services to patient in his home

- Assist with ADL’s, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and peri care - Administer medications as directed

- Monitor and record patient vital signs when needed

- Supervise and Assist with mobility as needed

- Help patient with exercises routines

- Provide companionship and emotional support to patient as well as care giving

- Support patients in maintaining his independence and promoting his well-being.

- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patient

- House Cleaning-Meal preparation-Use of Patient’s vehicle not yours, for outings

Skills:

- Previous verifiable continuous experience in nursing homes, hospice care, or home care and memory care is a must

- Knowledge of caregiving techniques and principles

- Ability to manage 12hrs shifts is a must

– Proficient in behavior techniques to handle challenging dementia behaviors

- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene practices

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects or individuals with proper techniques

- Ability to work and think independently

-Common sense and ability to learn and memorize the patient routine, as well as any new information pertaining to the patient needs and changes

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to work
