General Summary of the Position: The General Manager directs and coordinates sales and operations of the business organization and aids partners in formulating and administering organization policies by performing duties personally or through subordinate managers. The General Manager is responsible for creating a profitable contribution by managing staff while establishing and accomplishing business objectives.
Essential Functions:
Increases managements effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunities.
Participates in administering company policies, directing, and coordinating all department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to establish and determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives resulting in a profitable contribution.
Confers with the partners and other management to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
Supervise and coach sales team to achieve revenue goals and develop senior living community referral relationships.
Maintain involvement in senior living community referral relationships in addition to the day-to-day involvement of the assigned Client Experience Manager (CEM).
Provide oversight and coaching to local market operations management and leverage regional operations support leaders when needed.
Prepare monthly and weekly sales forecasts and communicate staffing needs to corporate leadership and recruiting team.
Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, budgetary planning and submittal for capital expenditures.
Accomplishes market objectives by establishing plans, budgets and results measurements; allocating resources, reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
Attend monthly financial review meetings and evaluate market financial performance, modifying sales and operations strategies as needed to meet market performance goals.
Coordinates efforts by establishing local market production, marketing, operations services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.
Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic plan with needs assessment by studying financial opportunities, incorporating sales, financial performance and new business development.
Builds company image by collaborating with customers, accounts, community organizations, vendors and employees while enforcing organization standards.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors degree or equivalent; or five to 10 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Prior sales, finance and services management experience.
