PTS Advance is looking for a Gas Plant Operator for a facility in Wyoming.

Plant Operations Shift Supervisor or Plant Specialist
Summary
The Plant Operator is responsible for monitoring the Gas Plant operations to keep the process
plant operating safely and efficiently. This Gas Plant is a processing facility that removes H2s and
CO2 from natural gas. This gas is then sold as residue gas. The facility also turns the H2s gas into
elemental sulfur and sells the CO2 that is recovered.
Essential functions
- Daily monitoring and control of Gas Plant operations
- Collecting and testing of sour gas (H2S), water, and chemical samples
- Performing various preventive inspections of process and safety equipment
- Utilizing the Maintenance Management System (MMS) to create Service Requests for Work
- Utilizing the Maintenance Management System (MMS) to review Management of Change
- Preparing equipment for maintenance and surveillance of operating equipment
- Making adjustments to plant operations to ensure efficient and consistent product demand
- Performing routine and light- duty maintenance on equipment
- Following all safety and company policies, programs and procedures
- Maintain regulatory, environmental and safety compliance in conjunction with and through close
Health and Safety Department
Required education and experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent minimum
- Completion of a 2 - 4-year technical degree within core craft is a plus
- Experience working in / knowledge of Gas Plant systems
- Strong health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance record

Physical demands
- Work rotating day/night shifts 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
- Work overtime as needed and rotating on call schedule
- Walking/standing during most of the shift
- Climb stairs and ladders up to 200 feet in height
- Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Wear personal protective equipment
- Carry and wear a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) to perform maintenance and
- Maintain a clean-shaven face for proper seal of SCBA mask
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Work safely with toxic and hazardous gases that are under high pressure and heat
Required education and experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Basic computer skills
- Read technical procedures and materials in English
- Working knowledge of gas processing and operations
- Basic understanding of process controls
