Direct development and activities of the Procurement Marketing & Logistics Team to procure POS goods and services required for achievement of marketing plans and long term objectives. Lead procurement and timely delivery of POS materials and coupons. Oversee development of third party internet based ordering and fulfillment.  Lead team in strengthening internal marketing capabilities of the organization globally.  Ensure high quality service standards and best in class practices are executed.

 

  • Responsible for the POS supplier selection and subsequent supplier relationship management for all POS materials - Global and Domestic. Lead implementation of global resources to allow for competitive pricing of materials from the best sourcing taking into account materials cost, freight, and currency cost factors. Establish second supplier sources whenever possible. Create and sustain a marketing procurement and logistics long range vision that delivers a competitive advantage for Sazerac.
  • Lead Marketing Procurement in partnering and collaborating with internal and external customers to achieve key Sazerac strategic and tactical business objectives. Establish collaborative working relationship with other functions (eg: sales, finance and operations) to develop and refine long-term strategies to ensure products and services meet changing business and marketplace conditions. Provide subject matter expertise as needed to ensure business decisions are fully informed and directions are met.
  • Continually seek ways to improve Marketing Procurement performance and drive a continuous process improvement mindset throughout the organization. Ensure the execution of all procurement strategies; including budget tracking and cost saving, logistics, strategic sourcing, vendor management and implementation of procurement tools for both domestic and Global teams. Lead POS creation, printing, fulfillment and trafficking. Ensure that high quality and service standards are maintained, while achieving optimal efficiency by utilizing our scale and scope to get best terms.
  • Responsible for building effective relationships with POS suppliers. Lead Marketing Procurement Team in partnering with brand teams to manage graphics execution and costs. As needed, attend vendor press reviews and approve press runs. Stay informed of new developments in POS execution. Routinely visit suppliers and trade events. Identify opportunities to create value. Point person on company-wide marketing procurement, advertising, marketing POS budget, and POS vendor management processes
  • Work with Brand teams and National Accounts to identify agency optimization opportunities. Oversee and approve contracts, materials, and workload; determine efficiencies and synergies with marketing procurement as appropriate.
  • Establish well organized priorities and KPI’s for Marketing Procurement Team and self; define roles. Monitor team member skill development and provide coaching and mentoring to enhance skill development. Ensure the structure, competency and allocation of resources within the department is fit for purpose. Work with Manager and use PDS system to identify and improve skills that will improve effectiveness at job and achieve goals.
  • Approve and oversee ongoing changes for Rebates and coupon programs by brand and state. Ensure timely development, trafficking and clearinghouse effectiveness and efficiencies, and that overall program proposals and implementation fit with brand strategy.
  • Oversee and advise on all logo and asset storage, management, and process change as it relates to SharePoint, Dri-View Image Library, Intranet Image Library, etc. Manage all media libraries that feature POS, advertising and vendor information. Be sure that images and info are kept up-to-date.
  • Communicate with Brand Managers to ensure correctness and consistent Brand communication within Dri-View, Vivid & other systems . Communicate Brand goals and objectives with Marketing Procurement and Logistics team. Manage updates and improvements on all POS related web sites.
  • Develop and follow action plan to gain experiences needed to advance career. Select and develop Marketing Procurement team to attain highest level of performance; coach team members to foster chosen career path; and, periodically conduct CDS meetings to create a career plan with direct reports.

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing
  • Requires Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
