It’s with that in mind that Hireology is looking to add a Full-Stack Engineer to our team who can help us continue to evolve our systems from where we are to the latest ideas.
Hireology is based in Chicago, but our Engineering and UX teams work remotely. In non-pandemic times, we have regular company-wide events, semi-annual team gatherings. Even in pandemic times, we have frequent celebrations when we hit our goals.
As one of our Full-Stack Engineers, you’ll be responsible for:
- Help implement an easy to use, continuously deployed product
- Improve system performance and responsiveness
- Participate in DevOps tasks, design reviews, coding modules, code reviews, unit testing and automated acceptance testing
- Collaborate with experienced software developers in the design, development, maintenance of our application
- Partner closely with our product and business teams to ensure that we are delivering the best possible outcomes for our internal and external customers

Okay, we’ve laid out what the job is - now are you qualified?
- 2+ years building high-performance scalable web applications
- Experience with C# .NET, Ruby on Rails, or similar server-side frameworks
- Experience with modern client-side technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Have a knack for UI/UX and able to bring those concepts to life
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of API driven architecture including RESTful services.
- Excited about delivering quality and are familiar with unit and acceptance testing frameworks
- Experience executing third-party API integrations
- Understanding of Observability concepts and solutions such as Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, or Honeycomb.
- Comfortable in a modern software engineering environment with distributed source code control, dev/stage/prod release cycle, extensive testing, and continuous deployment
- Fearless about learning new technologies and technical approaches to application development
