The Front Office Medical Assistant is responsible for the first impression and acts as the "face" of the company for all patients, vendors, and visitors. He/she is responsible for greeting and dismissing patients and their families courteously in person and/or on the phone. This role will be performing a range of clerical and clinical tasks that help maintain organization and keep CVMG clinics running efficiently. Many of the daily tasks are a combination of clerical and clinical duties which often include: responding to all telephone inquiries that come into the office from the phone system queue, back line, and/or the provider line, collecting patient co-payments, taking messages, distributing faxes and delivering compassionate support to patients and their families. The individual in this role will assist patients professionally and courteously when addressing their physical and mental needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Manage high-volume phone calls
- Accurately taking and delivering messages to appropriate providers and staff
- Assisting in daily faxing, scanning, and data entry
- Providing compassionate patient support and care
- Knowledge of schedules in the EMR system (eCW)
- Checking patients in and out
- Collecting co-payments
- Office administration; stocking supplies, and filing
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby and front desk areas.

Requirements
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate
- CPR Certification
- 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- 2+ years of Family Practice experience (preferred)
- 2+ years of EMR systems

$17.00-$19.00
