ABOUT OASIS CITY CENTER
Oasis City Center is the community center of Oasis Church and ignites hope and opportunity to local youth and their families by providing resources and services that address needs in the area of faith, fitness, hunger, and education.
Our vision is directly aligned with that of Oasis Church, to be a refuge and relief to those in a hectic environment. We execute this vision through hands-on programs facilitated at our location in Stockton, California, including but not limited to; onsite education and emotional support to students enrolled at Oasis Academy, food and emergency household assistance through Oasis Cares, our resource relief program, all while addressing physical wellness needs through Oasis Fitness, a state-of-the-art fitness program available to the community five days a week.
Since our inception in 2018, we have served over 350,000 individuals across 115,000 families, distributing over 2 million pounds of food and assistance to those in need. Our 30,000 square foot facility exceeds the excellence of any community center with its classrooms, robust gaming area, indoor basketball/volleyball court, indoor track, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and 5,000 square foot, certified food pantry.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As our Front Desk Team Member, you’ll enhance the lives of those who enter Oasis City Center with your friendly smile, compassionate heart, and exquisite customer service. You will serve as the first point of contact for everyone who enters the facility ensuring no one leaves without the opportunity to sign up and be a part of something truly life changing. In addition, you’ll be responsible to:
- Guide all new individuals and families through the sign-up experience which includes completing liability waivers, a family grocery participation form, and processing monthly donations.
- Ensure everyone who enters the facility has an Oasis Key Card and checks-in.
- Interact with all new and current members on a continuous basis to obtain feedback about their experience at Oasis City Center.
- Responsible for cross promoting all Oasis programs, products, and services.
- Anticipates member needs and interests, and recommends programs, products, and services appropriately.
- Transact all monthly donations including cash, check, or credit card donations.
- Facilitate bathroom checks to ensure ongoing cleanliness of the facilities.
- Wipe down the front desk, foyer area, and front doors.
- Restock waters in the mini fridges for all members.
- Check-out all gaming equipment.
- Provide administrative support and other duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma, or equivalent work experience.
- Required to complete a criminal background check prior to hire.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Weekly attendance at Oasis Church to understand the vision and heartbeat of the organization.
- Complete a three-month probation period as an at-will employee.
- Adequate math skills with the ability to give appropriate change for cash donations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products (specifically Word and Excel).
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various hours.
- Must be able to lift 40+ pounds of fitness equipment.
- This position requires standing for long periods of time.
- This position serves at the privilege and pleasure of the Board of Directors and its leadership.
