Delaware Valley Community Health (DVCH) is seeking full-time Front Desk / Receptionist to work as a Medical Clerk to work at one of our site in Philadelphia, PA. We are looking for a candidate that can deliver compassionate care to patients by assisting with support services for clerical staff and providing direct positive interaction with patients and their caregivers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Screens incoming patient calls • Calls patients to remind them of their appointments the next day • Answers questions from patients and forwards calls to the appropriate personnel • Calls in prescriptions to local pharmacies with the authorization of the provider • Sorts, scans, and electronically files paper documents in the patient's electronic health record • Greets and registers patients • Verifies health insurance coverage and eligibility • Accurately collects copayments • Schedules, reschedules and cancels appointments • Completes patient referrals • Performs other basic medical clerk duties as requested by the Providers, Team Leaders, or Health Center Manager • QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED • Bilingual in Spanish/English PREFERRED • Experience in a medical office setting PREFERRED DVCH is an EOE/Veterans/Disabled/LGBTQ+ employer.
