Job Description
As a Business Development and Sales Representative, you will build your own book of business while handling your customer’s transportation needs. Identify and engage with prospective clients to promote and sell Brokerage based transportation services. This role will be responsible for identifying, winning, and assisting in retention of business for clients and prospects.
Your day-to-day job duties:
· Generation of new business and maintaining a book of business through, identifying, contacting and qualification of potential prospects
- Calling customers daily and following up on potential business
- Sell and close new and existing customers to move their freight
- Negotiate prices with shippers
· Facilitate the onboarding process clients and manage transfer of relationship to Account Management
- Communicating with Operations to track loads
- Quoting customers and providing up-to-date information
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers
- Assist with the development and execution of Client Quarterly Business Reviews
· Key Accountabilities:
· New client acquisition
· Sales Goals attainment, including Load Volume and Revenue
· Pipeline Management and reporting to leadership
· Managing and executing the Customer Handoff process and Account Management team
What US 1 Logistics is looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is preferred but not required.
· Familiarity with common trucking industry terminology
· Good interpersonal and customer service skills, well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work both as an individual contributor and a team member
- Competitive nature with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
· Relationship building skills with both internal and external partners
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle conflict
· Sound organizational, records management, time management skills, and attention to detail

· 1-5 years related experience
Compensation package and Benefits:
· $75,000 Base salary plus uncapped commission
