Form of workAvion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an FPGA Hardware Design Engineer to support Army Programs. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- The engineer in this role will work across multiple research efforts related to multiple technologies (in various domains) in order to help the end customer's mission of developing protected technologies (and the processes that support that development).
- Will develop tools used to verify device programming toolchains.
- Will support the evaluation of FPGA, microcontrollers, and general-purpose CPU's ensuring the technology is reliable and secure for use in sensitive electronic systems.
Required Experience:
- Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited university.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience performing similar technical tasks as noted in the job description.
- Will have the ability to review standards and convey requirements.
- Ability to analyze and assess processes to determine if requirements have been met.
- Ability to interface with a broad range of audiences and conduct technical meetings.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A DoD Top Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
- Knowledgeable in ASIC fabrication, packaging, and testing processes
- Experience with implementing FPGA security requirements
- Project management experience
