Job Summary: Responsible for building and delivering food trays to patients, processing meal requests and diet orders through the computer system, and providing prompt and accurate service to customers using point-of-service operations. Interacts with patients, employees, medical staff, and customers both over the phone and in person.
Education: High School Diploma or GED in General Studies
Certifications and Licensures: None required
Experience: 2+ years in Food Service (preferred)

- General knowledge of cleaning methods, food service equipment, and food preparation.

Job Specific Duties:
- Food Preparation: Assists with cold food production, baking, and grill relief.
- Transportation of Goods: Transports items between storeroom, kitchen, retail, and service equipment.
- Tray Preparation: Prepares trays for patients based on meal tickets and for retail customers.
- Sanitation & Cleaning: Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, utensils, work areas, and dishes.
- Delivers/Returns Trays: Delivers trays to patient rooms and returns dirty trays to the dish room.
- Order Entry: Enters patient diet orders and meal/snack orders into the computer system.
- Nourishment Delivery: Organizes and delivers nourishment supplies to units as ordered.
- Cash Register Operation: Accepts customer payments and maintains a balanced cash drawer.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolves concerns and complaints from customers or refers to a supervisor as appropriate.
- Professionalism: Upholds a professional working relationship, practices teamwork, and adheres to Standards of Behavior.
Other Duties: Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
