This is an overnight shift! Hours are Sun-Thurs 10pm-6:30am
Description of Role:
- Maintains and conforms to Company polices, and monitors employees conformance to them
- Responsible for maintaining quality standards as required for all processes
- Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs, and maintain a standing position during a typical shift
- Capable of working with and communicating effectively with management and team members
- Capable of working effectively unsupervised
- Knowledge and practice of good housekeeping, equipment and/or tool maintenance
- Performs any tasks necessary on a daily basis to maintain production flow and performs other duties that may be assigned as necessary
- Knowledge of and ability to perform all phases of the proper department processes
- Capable of adapting to process changes and learning new skills
- Ability to keep Company records of all types confidential except for disclosure to individuals authorized by the General Manager (GM)
- Demonstrates leadership qualities of highest standards to set examples for fellow employees to follow and enforces Company policies
- Promotes teamwork and communication with personnel by maintaining employee morale, discipline, and counseling as necessary
- Facilitates programs on safety and training for personnel and equipment
- Plans and assigns daily tasks as necessary to facilitate weekly production plan at the beginning of each shift
- Responsible for preparing and conducting 90 day and annual reviews for supervised employees and maintaining necessary confidentiality regarding employee information
- Responsible for initiating employee notes for supervised employees to Plant Manager, HR and GM
- Responsible for carrying out all disciplinary action for assigned employees
- Responsible for initiating incident reports, work injury and work injury evaluation that occur on assigned shift
- Facilitate all quality processes (NCR, On-Hold, etc..)
- Disposition ON HOLD areas and NCR’s are closed in a timely manner for assigned department & shift
- Develop and create Process Instructions as assigned
- Track and document KPI’s (Key Process Indicators) as assigned per department & shift
- Reports safety related discrepancies and/or conditions for review and resolution and for reporting material shortages, out of spec conditions, tooling problems, equipment failures, etc. to Machining Department Manager if in machining department, to Assembly Department Manager if in assembly department or Plant Manager in all other areas
- Continuously updates current responsibilities and procedures for succession and/or absence while maintaining current records of each employee in the Department
- Executes production plan as laid out by planning personnel
