Description:
Looking for a Fire Alarm Project Manager for project installations within retail and commercial environments. The Fire Alarm PM will manage jobs for servicing and installing equipment for various customers so strong knowledge of Fire Alarm systems is needed. Overseeing techs that will be working on various security systems for retail customers so CCTV systems, access control and door hardware installation, and strong burglar alarm knowledge is needed. Along with Alarm systems, this technician will be running cable for various customers, mostly Cat 5 or Cat 6, which requires knowledge of structured cabling methods and BICSI standards.
Technician will be working independently traveling locally up to 3 hours out from home base, installing equipment within retails customers, technicians MUST be able to adapt to different layouts and environments since all sites will be different. Techs will be doing the cabling and system installations and troubleshooting as needed.
Most installation work will be performed during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Some night and weekend work may be required but is limited.
Responsibilities
•Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various fire alarm systems infrastructure.
•Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
•Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
•Installing of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
•Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
•Troubleshoot issues with cable networks.
•Oversee daily operational tasks including; performing employee interviews, hiring, assigning resources, and payroll approval.
•Perform daily project management operations through all five phases of the project life cycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and closeout.
•Create bid sheets and contractual proposals for projects.
•Order all materials and equipment for projects.
•Perform quality and safety audits to ensure the quality of all materials and equipment.
•Provide weekly and monthly financial forecasting and revenue projection reports.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with project management, crew management, quotes, and material ordering is necessary.
Practical field experience in the following; CCTV physical security, access control, fire alarm, or burglar alarm field is preferred.
Experience in any of the following fields is a plus: CAT5, Telecommunications, Fiber, Construction, or Structure Cabling IT.
