Job Description
The Business Analyst will support and assist with Supply Chain Management with routine database administration tasks. Candidates shall have extensive experience with the Oracle system. Candidate shall have expert knowledge with the following but limited to:
- Oracle payments to Service Vendors
- Interface error reporting
- Contingent Works (Suppliers)
- Just-In-Time, (JIT) Catalog
- Credit Card Purchase (P-Card), process
- Inventory
Candidate shall assist in routine database administration tasks, and backups
Candidate shall assign user rights, and day-to day- troubleshooting and define types of privileges and roles for users.
Activities will include:
Conducting analysis of Oracle Purchasing system using applied knowledge and principals (e.g., Systems approach or Six Sigma methodology) to address system failures or user issues and to create solutions.
Leading teams in the development and performance testing for Oracle Purchasing systems and related peripheral application such as but not limited to: JIT, P-Card, and e-Catalog hosting platforms.
Engaging with Supply Chain Management (SCM) leadership to develop a short-term and long-term strategy to address existing organization level business information system problems and recommend innovative solutions. Use applied knowledge and principals (e.g., Business Process Architecture, Systems Approach, or Six Sigma Methodology) to create solutions and provide resolution to business platform problems.
- Collaborating with other departments such as IT and/or Project Management organizations to:
- Manage various functional tasks for large projects that may involve complex and technically challenging scopes of work (crossing directorate and enterprise lines).
- Liaison with SCM leadership and IT on all SMC-IT initiatives.
- Assist regarding budgets to include large subcontracts.
- Establish, manage, coach, and motivate teams to include staffing recommendations, developing, and implementing training plans and support personnel development.
