Are you looking to expand your career? Robert Half is searching for a professional for an opportunity as an entry-level Financial Analyst. In this entry level Financial Analyst role, you will provide daily support to the accounting and finance departments as well as perform routine assignments and solve routine/standard problems with limited discretion. This role would be best suited for candidates that are comfortable with uncertainty and are able to work with a considerable amount of information. What you get to do every single day
- Help in diverse aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
- Be of assistance to monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
- Capable of assisting internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
- Construct clever alternatives and suggestions to reduce costs and nurture financial performance of a company
- Analyze and query a considerable amounts of data
- Evaluate verified results at the corporate and division levels
- Integrate and check budgets and income statement forecasts
- Engage in the assembling of monthly financial reporting and other business data
- Very likely have to describe hard financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects
- Assist in ensuring adequate controls and procedures
- Partake in annual budgeting process- Less than one year of experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
- Financial analysis experience highly desired
- Deep understanding of VLOOKUP
- Data entry experience preferred
- Well-founded grasp of data modeling
- Proven knowledge of Data Analysis
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Pivot Table
- Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
- Detailed and have the ability work independently
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Competent computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
