Danfoss Power Solutions is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based on site at our Brooklyn, OH facility.
In this position, you are primarily responsible for providing direct support to the Plant Controller. This requires accomplishing a variety of accounting and management level tasks, including but not limited to AP/AR analysis both trade and IC, processing and managing journal entries, inventory accounting and standard costing analysis, review and analysis of actual financial information as it relates to monthly financial reviews and forecasts, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet account management, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and the development of processes and procedures to increase the efficiency and value of the Accounting department.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Prepare journal entries accurately and timely at month-end for various accounts, with primary focus on inventory and cost accounts. Must have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and transactional accounting to calculate and determine correct entries.
- Assist in the development and preparation of forecasts, annual budgets, profit and strategic plans, as well as managing balance sheet account reconciliations, including inventory, Capital in Progress, payroll, and various accruals
- Work closely with Engineering, Production and Procurement/Supply Chain groups to develop and maintain accurate product costing through proper maintenance of standard cost and manufacturing system.
- Manage plant inventory including cycle counts and assisting in planning and execution of annual plant physical inventory - including tag control, variance review, and analysis of results
- Perform variance analysis and explain variances to budgets/forecasts and work orders, monitor performance measurements and prepare periodic reports for management
- Manage the standard cost roll, coordinate transfer pricing changes and standard cost analysis throughout the year
- Work with local supervisors and Human Resources to accurately process weekly payroll information

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
- Minimum 1 year experience in finance required
- This position requires the use of information or access to technology which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Preferred Qualifications
- Mfg/Pro, Encore, DFT and/or Oracle experience a plus
- Prior experience in manufacturing industry preferred
