Job Description
Summary:
The main function of a Procurement Specialist is to lead in determining and managing the sourcing strategy within a defined category or sub categories, identifying and engaging with senior stakeholders. The specialist will oversee the sourcing process and materials/reports for management, as well as provide sourcing and procurement advice to business areas. This position is to specifically support the Community and Economic Development teams with all PO process from onboarding vendors to finalizing payments.
Vendor engagement through onboarding, Supplier Connect account support, and troubleshooting issues
-Third Party Assessment (TPA) management
-Ethics and Compliance management
-TASK for PO creation, PO management, Invoice diligence
Top 3 must-have HARD skills:
1 Organizational powerhouse
2 Excel, Google Spreadsheets, Google Drive
3 Customer support / Customer relations
-College degree Bachelors (degree in Business Administration is a plus)
Good to have skills:
1 Procurement
2 Non-profit experience
3 Events/Sponsorship experience
4. previous experience with meta tools a plus
-2-3 years of enterprise-level operational experience.
-Applicant will be able to timely and accurately submit operational tasks based on current business needs.
