Job Description
SEARCH Group Partners, a premier recruiting firm, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager for one of our clients located in Salt Lake City, UT.
This position will assist with managing the financial health of the organization to promote success and growth by maintaining finance and membership records as well as monitoring financial reports and budgets.
Here are a few things that you'll likely find yourself doing in this role...
- Accounting
- Support general accounting and finance duties of the organization in tandem with the organization’s contracted third-party CPA and the board finance committee
- Manage QuickBooks Online and database entries to track accounts payable, input donor deposits, reconcile credit card activity and donor database activity, set up payments/eChecks, and code transactions while adhering to fund accounting principles
- Assist in the preparation and tracking of budgets for the overall organization, events, and other projects
- Prepare and issue invoices for events and services; track payments and assist in the collection of accounts receivable; and track against budgets
- Assist in outgoing transactions for organization programs including scholarships, tracking of restricted funds from grants and donations, and issuing financial KPI reports to donors of restricted funds
- Assist with annual filing of 1099, annual audit, 990, and year-end tax letters
- Membership management
- Update membership database and develop monthly membership reports for staff and Finance committee
- Strategic collaboration with the fundraising team to increase donations by analyzing and reporting donor trends
- Work with the finance committee and contracted CPA to generate financial statements every month for the three entities
- Help with and attend events as needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to prioritize and follow through effectively, as well as highly organized
- Proficient with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Office
- Bookkeeping experience
- Experience in non-profit bookkeeping preferred
- Bachelor's Degree, Preferred
