Job Description

SUMMARY

Providien, a Carlisle company, manufactures highly cosmetic, world-class thermoformed enclosures for medical equipment. The primary responsibility of a Fabricator III is to consistently manufacture high precision parts and assemblies in a thermoforming production facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Machining (mill, lathe, hand tools, power and pneumatic tools including drills, routers, grinders etc.)
• Ability to fabricate and assemble complex thermoformed parts and assemblies
• Highly proficient in reading and understanding blueprints (part and assembly drawings)
• Proficient in the use of calipers, height gages, and similar measuring devices
• Understand and follow the design intent behind precision jigs and fixtures, and identify opportunities for improving existing jigs and fixtures
• Woodworking (precision assembly, table saw) experience may be requires and is a plus
• Responsible for good housekeeping practices
• Loading and unloading shipment trucks
• Moving supplies to fabrication area
• Printing shipping documents
• Disposition finish good material and scrap
• Complete material transactions in the system
• Perform other duties as may be periodically assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hand protection.

SALARY INFORMATION

In compliance with CA state law, the hourly range for this position is $18-20 per hour. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Carlisle Interconnect Technologies reviews factors such as but not limited to responsibilities of the position, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal pay equity, as well as market considerations when extending an offer.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years Fabrication experience
• Ability to use hand tools, power and pneumatic tools including drills, routers, grinders, etc.
• Experience using a forklift, overhead crane and other load lifting devices.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Welding certification is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
