JOB DESCRIPTION


Summary

The Essential Wholesale Filling Supervisor will lead our 2nd shift operation, overseeing up to 10 employees and equipment operations. The applicant should have previous manufacturing supervision experience, and highly motivated, organized and detail oriented. They should be dedicated to meeting production plans, improving productivity and maintaining a high standard of quality and safety. This position is essential to the growth and prosperity of the company.



Essential functions

  • Motivate and lead the team to produce high quality products and ensuring the team remains on task and on schedule.
  • Review work tickets for accuracy to ensure product and packaging are correct. Fill products according to work tickets.
  • Makes sure work tickets are being filled out, and any fill log and pallet tracking forms.
  • Ensures that the products get packed for shipping properly.
  • Set up and monitors operation of production machinery, ensures filling and fill weights are correct.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Ensures labeling, and label placement on bottles, and lot coding are correct.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Clean utensils and/or machines in preparation for next order

Competencies

  • Previous experience working in a production environment.
  • Basic knowledge of computers required.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently, perform basic math skills, understand measurements and weights, and understand the basic functions of using a scale.
  • Ability to document and communicate properly. Good organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced constantly changing environment.
  • Willingness to help where needed.
  • Must be reliable and dependable and have a strong work ethic and attendance history.
  • Understand the principals of FIFO.
  • Ability to work in typical warehouse/production environment, including exposure to odors, noise, chemicals, and fluctuations temperatures.
  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. above the waist and maneuver swiftly. Fill and empty 55-gallon drums and safely handle hot liquids and potentially hazardous ingredients.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of units of measurements, preferred but not required
