Form of workFashion Design Internship: Adolfo Sanchez is a Couture designer, specializing in women's wear including bridal gowns, evening gowns, ready to wear and outerwear. His showroom is located in downtown Los Angeles CA.
His impressive celebrity placement list includes: Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kat Von D, Ariana Grande, Normani, Fergie, Avril Lavinge, Kesha, Usher, Kat Von D and many more.
Fashion Interns: We are currently looking for 4 to 5 individuals to join our design team. Our interns gain hands-on experience by providing support to the design team through the entire design process, from fabric selection, trend research to final garment.
This is a non-paid internship, Credits available for school if needed.
Length of Employment for Internship: This is a 3 month long internship, and requires attendance 2 days a week for the duration of 3 months (Dates can be flexible with school schedule). Interns are scheduled to be in attendance from 10am - 5pm.
Requirements:
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging fashion trends
- Sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments
- Working with Creative Director to bring concepts to life
- Sourcing high quality fabrics that match our brand
- Can truly commit to working 2 days a week
- Great with textures
- Passion for sewing and designing
- At least 2 years of fashion design background
- Must know how to follow a garment pattern
- Must know how to properly cut fabrics
- Must have experience working with an industrial sewing machine
